Radiance Discovery: French Girl Organics Facial Polish
Happy Thursday, everyone!
I’ve just gotten back to New York from Taiwan earlier this week and am soon off to Lake Tahoe again. The frequent flying tires my skin, so I’ve intensified the moisturizing part of my routine to ensure my skin stays hydrated at all times.
But sometimes, hydration is simply not enough. I’m traveling for weddings, so I want my skin to glow and look “awake.” This is where my Radiance Discovery comes in! A product that has been extremely helpful during my skin’s “downtime” – the Facial Polish from French Girl Organics.
I learned about the Facial Polish from reading Korean #girlboss and #supermom Chriselle Lim’s post on getting rid of pores. She mentioned how this product helped shrink her pores, and considering how pore-less her skin looks, I went ahead and ordered one for myself without hesitation.
The all-natural product comes in a small glass bottle (reminded me of the “Drink Me” bottle in Alice in Wonderland) and is filled with pink powder. Mix the powder with some warm water and use your fingertips to rub it into your skin in circular motions. But be gentle! I used way too much force the first time and it left my cheeks a bit red for a good half an hour.
Although the brand is called “French Girl,” the product is made from locally sourced ingredients in Seattle. Sea buckthorn oil, which is a source of vitamins and antioxidants, and frankincense powder, which is known to heal skin and prevent signs of aging, are some of the key ingredients. Other ingredients include tamanu extract that rejuvenates tired skin, as well as pomegranate tincture, which helps hydrate dry skin.
The finely ground powder literally gives me a “polish” by gently exfoliating my skin without over-cleansing. I do think cleaning out my pores make them appear less visible, but I wouldn’t say they’ve shrunk. One thing is for sure though: every time I use it, my skin looks less dull, and becomes very, very soft! It’s hard not to fall in love with the result. To be honest, I might actually be addicted!
Chriselle said she likes to add a little bit of honey and use it as a mask. I haven’t tried that method yet but I can see how it can be effective! It’s just a bit troublesome for me to bring honey along when I’m on-the-go, but I will likely give it a try when I’m back in New York!
Thanks for reading!
