Interview: A Peek into Fashion Designer Emma Lee’s Beauty Life

Since January this year, we started a series of interviews featuring amazing individuals from around the world. Everyone lives in a different city and works in a different industry, and is beautiful in their very own different way. The fifth interview is with fashion designer Emma Lee.

About Emma

Based in both San Francisco and New York, Emma is a head fashion designer for an on-trend, affordable fashion company; the brand is found at many national retailers. However, I know Emma as the frequent flyer who is constantly somewhere in the world, searching for inspiration and checking out the latest fashion trends in-person.

Emma has a nice collection of through-the-window cafe shots on her Instagram page.

I started becoming aware of Emma’s Instagram page (@emlee7) when I came across several of her signature through-the-window café shots on my Explore page: a shot of her at Repose Coffee in San Francisco, another at Mayfair Aubaine in London, and one of my favorite was at Happy Bones in New York City. When I started following Emma, I found myself loving Emma’s travel photos, too. She has the ability to add a sense of stillness and beauty to her images, even when they’re taken in the most chaotic places.

I am constantly inspired by Emma, as I live her busy life through her daily posts. Emma wrote “Creativity takes courage” on her profile, but I think being non-stop creative like she has been, also requires strength and determination. And to me, that is what makes Emma truly beautiful.

As someone who travels so often, Emma’s skin is flawless! Let’s find out what she uses to maintain her skin.

A Chat with Emma

Skin type?

          Combination.

Main concerns?

          Dry, flaky skin.

Your No.1, most important beauty product?

Avène Tolerance Crème. This is my all-in-one use, moisturizing and anti-aging. I use it twice a day, morning and night. It just works very well with my skin.

One product you must travel with?

Avène Tolerance Crème. I am on-the-go more than at home, as such this product is with me on a daily basis. The cream is always moisturizing in all climates; I use it everywhere I go. It's one of the best products I have ever used!

A quick search on the product: According to the official website, the cream provides 6 hours of hydration by using 7 essential ingredients, including Avène Thermal Spring Water. The formula for this non-greasy, rich moisturizer does not contain any preservatives, parabens or fragrances. In fact, it is safe to use even after procedures, such as peels or laser treatments.

Your favorite beauty brand?

Chanel cosmetics are perfectly designed, simplified, and a match for my lifestyle.

Product introduced by Key To Radiance that you want to try?

I honestly don't know where to start...or what beauty products needed. But if I must pick one, I think I would try the sheet mask featured in the 21 Day Mask Challenge. I always like trying different Korean masks when I travel for work. There isn't a particular brand that I would use; I simply like how refreshing it feels after using them.

Beauty tips?

          Drink lots of water!

          Thank you, Emma!

P.S. Key To Radiance is not affiliated with any of the brands mentioned in this article.
