Interview: A Peek into Travel Blogger Christine Wedberg’s Beauty Life
Last month, we started a series of interviews featuring amazing people from around the world. Everyone lives in a different city, works in different industries and is beautiful in their very own different way. The second interview is with Travel Blogger Christine Wedberg.
From Stockholm, Sweden, Christine is a full-time traveler, photographer, and a true explorer. On her blog AlienChris.com, she shares her adventures, offers personal recommendations, and give handy travel tips. I started following Christine on Instagram (@alienchrisblog) since half a year ago, when I came across an amazing photo taken by her in Hong Kong. I enjoy seeing various cities through her lens, and especially when it comes to destinations I’ve visited before; it is fascinating to find how different one place can appear through her perspective.
Before Christine became a full-time traveler, she worked in central Stockholm and was living the life – well, she thought she was. Until one day, she decided to leave her glamorous city life and go on a journey that makes her truly happy. In my eyes, Christine’s courageous decision of dropping everything and pursuing what she really loves to do is what makes her beautiful.
Although Christine travels a lot, she has great skin! Read on to find out what she does and uses.

Combination with an oily T-zone area.
Dry, oily skin, and blemishes, as well as pimples.
Your No. 1, most important beauty product?
I cannot live without my tea tree oil. Since I started traveling the world full-time, I began to get more pimples and problems with my skin. And that’s not surprising at all since I regularly went to countries with different climates. After a year, I decided only to try natural products, and tea tree oil was one of the products that saved my skin!
I just mix a drop or two in my moisturizer, and the pimples and blemishes magically disappear. My favorite tea tree oil comes from the brand Desert Essence; it’s a great oil that’s also 100% organic and cruelty-free!
One product you must travel with?
I never travel without my shea butter! It’s a product that I use for my face, hair, and body. I use it in my hair overnight as a conditioner, on my body against my skin condition, and on my face as a moisturizer when my skin is dry.
The one I use comes from a Danish brand called Urtekram, a brand with great products!
Your favorite beauty brand?
I absolutely love LUSH! LUSH only sells cruelty-free products, which is something that’s important to me. They offer skin care products for both men and women and for all skin types using natural ingredients - many of their products are also 100% vegan. My favorites so far are the facial soap Fresh Farmacy and their facial toner Tea Tree Water; both products work wonders on my problematic skin.
Product introduced by Key To Radiance that you want to try?
If you’re struggling with blemishes or pimples, try the following:
- Do not touch your face unless you’ve washed your hands with soap and clean water.
- Do not pop your pimples, including the white ones (I know it’s hard, but it gets worse if you do).
- Try natural products such as; Shea Butter, Tea Tree Oil, and products from LUSH (I highly recommend Fresh Farmacy).
- Drink lots of water.
- Get your 8 hours of sleep.
- Eat healthier food and exercise.
These are the things I’ve tried when I had lots of pimples from traveling in Asia, and also several blind pimples that wouldn’t go away for weeks. After patiently following these guidelines, my skin got healthier than ever!
